The predominant way in which I see the world around me is through colors and patterns. This emphasis is evident in the work I make, which ranges from textiles, to painting, to paper arts, and everything in between.
Plants are a common theme in much of my work. They are beautiful, powerful, and they give me hope, with their ability to quickly recover spaces once cleared and built over by humans. Much of what I make is born from observations in nature. When we pay attention to anything as trivial as weeds growing around a stop sign, we realize that there are beautiful and magical moments all around us.
